4 Year Old Program

Jells Park Preschool runs a rotating 4 year old group with each group attending for 2 x 7.5 hour sessions per week.

We aim to create a calm, interesting and friendly learning environment with lots of parent participation. We believe children learn best through play based and concrete experiences. The teachers structure a planned program for both the indoor and outdoor play areas with educational activities that are varied and aim to challenge and stimulate children whilst respecting their current level of development.

The teachers plan for each individual child as well as for the whole group, in areas including social and emotional development, language and communication, physical development (large and small muscles and coordination), cognitive development and literacy and numeracy.

These State Government subsidised four-year-old Kindergarten programs are taught by Bachelor Qualified Kindergarten Teachers (Sally & Jessica) with the aid of Diploma Qualified Co-Educators (Lorelle, Rohini, Nataliya).
