Jells Park Preschool

Jells Park Preschool has been operating for over 40 years in the leafy location of Wheelers Hill.

Currently we offer 3 and 4 year old programs with consistent hours and timetables to help the children develop a routine when they are in the program. To see our timetables, click here.

The programs are guided by qualified and experienced Early Childhood teachers and Co-Educators. The program provides the children with a rich, stimulating, relaxed, fun play based educational program that is guided by the children’s interests and abilities.

Children learn, by being actively involved in real experiences and through interactions within their world by themselves and within groups. At kinder, we aim to challenge the children to explore, try ideas, ask questions and to share these experiences with their friends.

We encourage the children to have lots of time in constructive ‘free play’ – inside and outside; to play in small groups and participate in singing and story group times. At all times the children’s play is supervised, challenged and supported by the teacher, co- educator and team.

The curriculum is underpinned by the National Early Years Learning Framework and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.

Jells Park Preschool has a lovely learning environment which is very well resourced. The outdoor learning environment is extremely spacious and well designed to be stimulating and fun. The outdoor area includes a wonderful enclosed undercover space for use all year round.

Jells Park Preschool is a community based program run by a volunteer parent committee. We are lucky to have such a supportive and involved community who believe in the value of Early Childhood education. We believe parents are an integral part of the program and work hard to include everyone in the running of the Preschool.
